About the author:  Meryl D. Day is an attorney who works with children in Rensselaer County Family Court in New York.  She is married and lives with her husband, and two cats (her dog sadly passed away in November 2014).  She says Jordy was a real cat that she owned many years ago, and his personality was larger than life!
